Signed up the 11/02/2026Hey guys, I need to vent and also share some serious advice. My 58-year-old aunt recently started looking for a partner online, and she is so incredibly naive that she almost fell for a textbook financial trap set by a catfish. It opened my eyes to how vulnerable older adults are to fraud nowadays.
To protect her, I did a ton of research and forced her to read this guide on how to avoid a romance scam. It perfectly explains how to spot red flags and protect yourself from dating fraud.
Right after that, I deleted her old mainstream profile and moved her over to the Sequel dating app instead. It’s a curated space strictly for people over 50 where every single user has to be verified. Honestly, the peace of mind is unmatched because there are no bots or fake accounts. Please watch over your relatives and make sure they are using secure platforms!
