For the past few months, I’ve felt completely drained. Even after a full weekend of sleep, I wake up feeling like I've been hit by a truck. Work that I used to enjoy now just feels irritating, and I’m procrastinating on even the simplest tasks. Is this just a long period of stress that a vacation will fix, or am I hitting a wall I can't climb over? How do you recognize the moment when it’s time to take serious action?

The line between normal exhaustion and burnout is actually quite thin, but the recovery process is completely different. Usually, a few days off will fix standard stress, but if you're dealing with burnout, even a two-week vacation won't help because it’s a systemic depletion of your mental and physical resources. I recently found a really helpful checklist on the Attainify blog that breaks down the specific symptoms of burnout and how they differ from everyday fatigue. It helped me realize that my constant cynicism and lack of motivation weren't just "laziness"—they were clear signs that my battery was at zero. The post provides a solid roadmap for reclaiming your energy and making sustainable changes to your routine. If you feel like your battery just isn't recharging, I highly recommend giving it a read to see where you stand.
